Picnic in the Park: A Celebration For Our Valued Clients

Located on the Tyee Spit, Dick Murphy Park is surrounded by water on three sides – Discovery Passage on the east side, the entrance to the Campbell River estuary on the north end and the estuary itself on the west side, an idyllic setting for a delightful afternoon as we hosted a picnic to express our appreciation to our valued clients. The event aimed to create a relaxed and informal atmosphere, allowing our clients to unwind, connect with one another, and revel in the beauty of the outdoors.

The park was adorned with meticulously decorated tables, each featuring fresh flower centerpieces that added charm to the surroundings. Our clients were treated to thoughtfully curated picnic kits, carefully assembled to tantalize their taste buds and showcase our deep gratitude for their unwavering support. To complement the food, a wide assortment of beverages was available, ranging from refreshing fruit-infused water and sodas to a signature mocktail, the Lavender Lemonade, crafted to provide a refreshing and unique twist.

As clients arrived and settled into the inviting picnic area, the air soon filled with the joyful sounds of laughter and cheerful chatter. The picnic became a platform for our clients to reconnect with familiar faces and form new connections. It was heartwarming to witness individuals engage in conversations that extended beyond business matters, as stories were shared, and genuine connections were fostered. The serene surroundings of the park created an atmosphere of openness and camaraderie, where clients felt comfortable engaging in meaningful dialogue and strengthening relationships on a more personal level.

To further enhance the experience, a variety of engaging activities were organized throughout the afternoon. Lawn games such as croquet, Jenga, and badminton brought out the competitive spirit among the guests, eliciting laughter and moments of friendly rivalry. Others chose to leisurely stroll through the park’s meandering paths, immersing themselves in the picturesque scenery and taking in the beauty of nature. The nostalgia of carefree childhood moments filled the air as the aroma of freshly popped popcorn wafted through the park, adding an extra touch of delight.

Adding to the excitement of the afternoon, 99.7 The River, a local radio station, was on location to provide live updates about the event. Additionally, we were honored to have Todd Blaseckie, CEO & Portfolio Manager, Aaron Robertson, Portfolio Manager, and Shawn Fetter, Associate Portfolio Manager, give live interviews, sharing insights and perspectives on our organization and the value we place on our client relationships.

To make the event even more memorable, we organized a draw where clients had the opportunity to win an array of enticing prizes. Congratulations to the winners who were filled with excitement and gratitude for their unexpected rewards. Carol O. won an Alitis Tumbler along with a $100 Amazon Gift Card, Sylvia J. received a Sandy Sweet & Salty Gift Basket, and Vern W. was the lucky recipient of the Bowen BBQ Gift Basket. The draw prizes served as a token of our appreciation and a way to express our gratitude for the trust and loyalty our clients have placed in us.
