A New Addition to the Alitis Team in Victoria
Alitis Investment Counsel is thrilled to welcome Usman Afzal, Portfolio Manager, to the Alitis Team. He will be based out of our Victoria office, located at 1480 Fort Street. With an investment planning and portfolio management career spanning back to 2013, Usman brings a wealth of experience and expertise with his background in finance which includes investing banking, corporate finance, and wealth management.
At the core of Usman’s philosophy lies the belief that strong client relationships are paramount to delivering exceptional service. Recognizing the uniqueness of each client, he thrives on building one-on-one relationships with his clients and dedicates himself to understanding their individual needs and aspirations. He is known for taking time to uncover what’s important and translating that knowledge into meaningful and actionable strategies. By actively listening to their concerns and goals, Usman ensures that every client receives personalized attention and tailored solutions.
With a passion for portfolio management, Usman is committed to providing thorough analysis and strategic investment guidance. His collaborative approach extends to working closely with your professionals and other members of the Alitis Team to deliver comprehensive wealth solutions aimed at maximizing returns while mitigating risks.
Usman is fluent in four languages, and has a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Mathematics from the University of Calgary where he was recognized on the Dean’s List. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst Designation.
Outside of the office, Usman is an avid adventurer who finds enjoyment in outdoor sports and exploring new cultures. From hiking to the base camp of K2 in Pakistan to scuba diving in Iceland and bungee jumping in New Zealand, he cherishes the thrill of new experiences.
