Community Spotlight: Patron of the Arts
Patron of the Arts (POTA) began in 2019 as part of the Campbell River Arts Council. POTA’s purpose is to support, celebrate, and provide opportunities to visual and performing artists in the Campbell River community.
The season’s most glamorous event, the Wearable Art Show, was held on October 15th at the Tidemark Theatre. The evening consisted of a high-quality production of a showcase of new and recycled wearable art and is also a major fundraiser for POTA.

The event was a resounding success! There was also a post show reception for all to have a chance to meet the artists and see their wearable art up close. Descriptions for the pieces include exquisite, breathtaking, and avant-garde! Such creativity and extravagance created by Campbell River artists. Alitis Investment Counsel was proud to be a Bronze Sponsor of this event.
With the community’s support, funds raised through this showcase help POTA continue their commitment to provide financial assistance to local artists.
